Historical Reports

As a credit reporter, Centrix collects personal information in accordance with the Credit Reporting Privacy Code 2020 and our Privacy Policy outlines how long we will retain the different types of credit information for.

In accordance with our Subscriber Agreements, Centrix holds copies of Historical Reports for subscribers for the following periods after which they will be permanently deleted:

Government identity documents:

  • NZ Driver Licence
  • NZ Passport
  • NZ Birth Certificate
  • Australia Driver Licence
  • Australia Passport
  • Australia Medicare
  • Australia Visa

Creditworthiness reports, including:

  • Credit application
  • Credit review
  • Debt enforcement
  • Finance quotation
  • Preemployment
  • Tenancy
 3 months
ID Verification checks (excludes Government identity document checks) 2 years

Any other personal information collected that is not credit information as defined by the Credit Reporting Privacy Code 2020 is held separately and for no longer than is required for the purpose for which the information was initially collected.
